StillMouse takes the shake out of the mouse pointer and ignores clicks you didn't mean, in every app. Your hand moves the way it always does. The pointer goes where you meant.

Built on research
Researchers watched people use a mouse, click by click. Four numbers stood out, and StillMouse has an answer for each one.

It isn't only shaking: StillMouse helps whenever clicks slip.

StillMouse subtracts the shake, like the adaptive filters used to steady surgical tools, which removed about two thirds of hand shake in lab tests. A shake that changes from second to second is harder: then less of it goes.
Our own measurement, 2026 · Veluvolu & Ang, 2010
Every setting traces back to a published study of people using a mouse, linked below. The studies looked at groups of people; they did not test StillMouse, except the one marked as our own measurement.
Try it
This box adds a shake to your own pointer, the kind StillMouse is made for. Click the dots with it off, then on, and compare. It's a simplified browser version of StillMouse's filter and click guard: the real one runs on your Mac, in every app.
Move your pointer in here
On a phone or tablet, drag your finger and lift it to click.
How it works
1
Moving the mouse on purpose stays under about 2 times a second. A shake is faster: 3 to 12. StillMouse follows the shake as it changes and takes it out, instead of slowing everything down the way plain smoothing does.
2
With the click guard on, the pointer stays put while the button is down, so it doesn't slip off what you clicked. Taps too short to be a real press don't count, and a second click right after the first is ignored.
3
Any smoothing makes the pointer trail your hand a little, and delay costs speed. Balanced, the starting preset, trails by about 25 milliseconds: too short to notice in daily use.
Eight presets
Pick one and try it: the right one feels calm. Switch from any app with ⌃ ⌥ M.
Tuned to your hand AI-assisted
Not sure which preset to pick? StillMouse measures how your pointer moves, replays it through every preset and suggests the one that leaves the least shake for the least delay. Then AI can explain your result in plain words, only if you ask.
On your Mac
The test, the measurement and the suggested preset are worked out by StillMouse on your Mac, without the internet. The recording stays in memory and is deleted when you leave the page.
By AI, if you ask
Only the result's numbers are sent, with a code showing your Mac has a license. Never the recording, your name or your email. You see exactly what goes before you press the button.
Example explanation
Included with every license, up to three explanations a day. These are pointer settings, not a health measurement.
Made for the people who use it
Every preset is a large card with its name and what it's for. Nothing hidden behind a menu.
If the pointer is ever hard to use, press Control 5 times in a row: StillMouse turns off at once.
⌃ ⌥ S turns it on or off. ⌃ ⌥ M switches presets, and the name shows on screen.
English, Türkçe, Español, Français, Português, Bahasa Indonesia, Русский, العربية, हिन्दी, বাংলা and 简体中文.
No Dock icon. A mark in the menu bar when it's on, and a window when you want one.
Feedback is a page inside the app, read by the person who makes StillMouse. No mail app needed.

Why it exists
“I'm hard of hearing, so I know what it's like when a computer isn't built for the way you use it. When the mouse became the hardest part of a close relative's day, I built StillMouse for them. It starts with the pointer. Keyboard help is next.”
